TEAMWORK
In a collaborative spirit, we assist hospitals in providing families the opportunity
to donate life saving organs, educating hospital professional and medical staff,
and monitoring quality assurance regarding hospital policy and procedures on
donation. For the donor family, the organ procurement coordinator staff compassionately
serves as a resource to answer questions and offer emotional support and oversee
that last wishes are realized. It is through this collaborative spirit that
HOPE is realized when an awaiting recipient receives a gift of life.
Every
14 minutes, another name is added to the waiting list for a life-saving/enhancing
organ transplant.
HOPE
``...Hope is precious to someone in need of an organ transplant." Keeping that
in mind, the Midwest Transplant Network's organ procurement staff is dedicated
to seeing that the process of "matching donor and recipient will work flawlessly".
